Tucson Police confirmed forty-four-year-old Ousman Ceesay shot Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, and Cameron Davis Capara, 33, in the Venture-N bar parking lot early Monday, according to ABC News. Detectives later found a note in Ceesay’s home that “indicated he acted alone and that this shooting was a targeted attack motivated by hate toward the LGBTQIA+ community,” according to authorities. Police also said Ceesay had a list of other LGBT businesses in the area, according to ABC News.
Davis appears to have been associated with the left-wing organization Antifa. Numerous Facebook posts appear to show him filming and participating in left-wing political rallies, including pro-Palestine protests, anti-ICE protests and “No Kings” rallies. Wrapped in a keffiyeh, he described himself in one video as a “political activist.”
Davis also posted videos of left-wing rallies on his Instagram account, “The Ninja Ferret”. One post from October 2025 showed an Antifa sticker. Davis captioned the photo, “Antifa is Everywhere.”

Ceesay’s cousin, Muhammad Sylva, told the Arizona Daily Star that he and Ceesay grew up together in the West African country of The Gambia, where homosexuality is illegal. Ceesay immigrated to the United States in 2010, got a student visa to attend college, and married a woman from Oklahoma.
Sylva also said Ceesay was a practicing Muslim and that his faith was not “extreme.” They never had any conversations about homosexuality or LGBT issues because it is stigmatized in their home country, according to Sylva.
Ceesay and his wife had reportedly been experiencing financial trouble. They filed for bankruptcy in 2018 and were evicted by a landlord in Oklahoma City in 2025, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
